Brice S. Dumais represents clients in all aspects of patent law, trademark law, and copyright law. He has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patents in a wide range of technological areas, including medical devices, mechanical systems, turbine engines, flood damage prevention, cooking apparatuses, computer systems, touch sensor technology, heat transfer, telecommunications, video conferencing, social networking, software design, and financial products.
Brice also has experience in patent litigation and patent post grant proceedings, including ex parte reexamination, inter partes reexamination, and inter partes review. His experience includes preparation of invalidity contentions, preparation and coaching of expert witnesses, preparation of reexamination petitions, preparation of third party comments in reexamination proceedings, preparation of reply briefs in reexamination proceedings, preparation of responses in inter partes review proceedings, and preparation of oral arguments for the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in inter partes review proceedings.
Brice further has experience in conducting patent infringement analyses and invalidity analyses, including analyzing patent claim scope, analyzing prior art documents, analyzing product systems, and preparation of legal opinions regarding infringement and invalidity.
