Brooke (Deardurff) Meller advises and represents clients in a broad range of labor and employment law matters. Most recently, Brooke has represented healthcare and transportation companies in single-plaintiff and wage and hour class actions.
Brooke has also conducted workplace misconduct and sexual harassment investigations for clients in a variety of industries. Prior to joining Littler, she was a litigator representing public entities, including the County government and local transit authorities, in employment lawsuits and administrative proceedings.
Brooke also previously worked as a certified Title IX investigator and Public Safety Associate at Loyola Marymount University, where she investigated student complaints of sexual misconduct and domestic violence.
She assisted drafting various policies and procedures, as well as set up trainings and community relations events to facilitate relationships with law enforcement and the local rape crisis center.
During law school, Brooke was a law clerk for the California Department of Justice, Department of Health Education and Welfare, where she worked with deputy attorneys general to prepare for hearings relating to charter school audits.
Brooke also participated in Loyola Law School’s Employment Rights Clinic, where she interviewed witnesses and made recommendations to the California Labor Commissioner regarding wage and hour employment claims filed with the agency.
