Bruce L. Lieb is Managing Partner of the Firm. He is a former co-chair of the Corporate Department and former member of Proskauer’s seven-person Executive Committee. Although Bruce has a broad background in general corporate and securities law, he has concentrated his practice on private equity transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, the formation of private investment funds, and equity and debt financings.
Bruce has extensive experience in the representation of financial services companies, including investment banks, investment advisers and bank and thrift holding companies.
Bruce has represented JPMorgan Chase & Co., for more than 25 years, in connection with private equity investments, including fund investments, investments in major public and private leveraged buyout transactions, venture capital investments in start-up and later stage companies, incubation projects and technology spin-offs.
In addition, Bruce has represented JPMorgan Chase & Co., as sponsor and as placement agent, in connection with the formation and placement of private equity funds, debt funds, hedge funds and funds of funds.
He also has represented Citigroup, Credit Suisse, BlackRock, Ranieri & Co., Hyperion Partners and other financial services companies in connection with private equity funds and transactions.
