Bruce C. Smith is an associate in the Phoenix office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Long-Term Care & Elder Law Practice. Mr. Smith is responsible for cases involving medical negligence and violation of the Adult Protective Services Act (elder abuse).
Mr. Smith has extensive experience handling medical negligence cases for doctors, hospitals and nursing homes. Mr. Smith also has experience with state and federal regulatory issues for nursing homes, and for health care providers under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Mr. Smith has briefed and argued cases at the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit, and the Arizona Court of Appeals, has first and second chair trial experience, as well as extensive arbitration and mediation experience.
