Caitlin V. McHugh represents major pharmaceutical and medical device companies in complex civil litigation, including mass tort and single-plaintiff actions. She defends against claims involving allegations of strict liability, negligence, failure-to-warn, and consumer protection act violations. Caitlin handles cases at the state, federal and appellate court levels.
Caitlin’s experience includes drafting pleadings, drafting dispositive and Daubert motions, and assisting in appeals. Caitlin also represents pro bono clients through the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigents Program.
While in law school, Caitlin was a law clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Professional Responsibility. Prior to attending law school, Caitlin studied chemistry and chemical biology at Cornell University and worked as an analyst for a defense contractor in the Washington, D.C., area.
