Calla E. Yee focuses her practice on trademark and copyright law. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Yee was an intellectual property intern for a San Francisco, California law firm in its trademark brand enforcement division where she helped monitor and take down infringing products and assisted on trade dress matters.
She was also an extern for another San Francisco, California law firm in its trademark practice where she helped with brand enforcement, domain name disputes, and trademark prosecution.
While attending the University of San Francisco School of Law, Ms. Yee was a research assistant to Professor J. Thomas McCarthy. She researched relevant case law and literature for Professor McCarthy’s treatises, McCarthy on Trademarks and Unfair Competition and The Rights of Publicity and Privacy.
Previously, Ms. Yee was an intern at Thomson Reuters Westlaw in San Francisco, California where she worked in its legal editorial operations and on its targeting and verdict acquisitions team.
She was also a staff member of the University of San Francisco Law Review, the literary editor of the Maritime Law Journal, a Board member of the University of San Francisco Moot Court Program, a survey author for the University of San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Bulletin, and a two-time participant in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition.
In 2015, she was a member of the 2015 Saul Lefkowitz Western Regional first place team. Ms. Yee graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law, with honors, having earned an Intellectual Property & Technology Law Certificate, with honors.
Prior to launching her legal career, Ms. Yee was editor and content manager at iSport.com in San Jose, California where she managed and trained a team of six individual writers in the publication of instructional sports content and edited all content for the team of writers.
While attending Colgate University, Ms. Yee studied abroad at the University of Manchester in Manchester, United Kingdom during the fall of 2007.
