A. Carin Weinrich is an experienced immigration attorney in both employment and family based petitions. Working in a partnership with her clients, Carin provides strategy development and plan implementation to meet client needs. She prides herself on integrity, client orientation, and effective collaboration.

Since 1999, Carin’s practice has focused exclusively on immigration law. She has extensive experience in providing guidance to corporations and individuals. She thoroughly explains immigration requirements, options and keeps her clients informed on changes in the law. She joined Soreff Law in 2005.

In 2018, Soreff Law became Soreff Weinrich Law and Carin became partner in the firm. She will continue to focus on employment and family based petitions. This includes both nonimmigrant visas such as H-1B, L, B, P and TN and immigrant visas (including PERM processing). She advises Human Resources personnel on I-9 compliance and best practices. She assists U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents in obtaining status in the United States for their family members through filings with USCIS and U.S. Consulates or Embassies. This includes filing to remove conditional permanent resident status. In addition, she advises clients on applying for naturalization and citizenship matters. Other areas of her practice include U visas and VAWA.

Carin stays current on developments in immigration law. She regularly presents at continuing legal education seminars on topics including employment-based petitions, family-based petitions, naturalization, and citizenship.

Carin is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”). She has held many volunteer positions within the AILA Washington Chapter (“AILA WA”). Her prior AILA WA positions include Chair, Chapter Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Program Chair; Customs Border Protection committee, Chair and Vice-Chair; Northwest Immigration Conference Vice-Chair; Young Lawyer Division Chair and Vice-Chair. Nationally, she has served AILA as a member of the Board of Governors; and Young Lawyers Division Chair and Vice Chair. She also volunteers for Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, Washington Medical-Legal Partnership, and Citizenship Days organized by AILA WA and Washington New Americans Program.

Carin obtained her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Economics from Scripps College and her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University.

On weekends, Carin may be found sailing, biking, or training for triathlons.
