Carlisle Toppin focuses his practice in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation. He advises clients in connection with all compensation and employee benefits related aspects of corporate transactions, reorganizations, financing arrangements, and public offerings. Carlisle offers a multidisciplinary approach to compensation and benefits matters, as his practice includes the design and operation of various employee benefits programs, including qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, deferred compensation arrangements, equity-based compensation plans, cash bonus plans, employment agreements, severance plans, change-in-control contracts, health and welfare plans, and fringe benefit policies.
Prior to joining the firm, Carlisle practiced employee benefits and executive compensation with international law and accounting firms, as well as a third-party administrator of retirement plans – bringing varied perspectives that enhance client service. In addition, he holds several professional human resource designations, including Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Equity Professional (CEP), Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), and Employee Stock Ownership Plan Administrator (ESOP-A).
