Carmen Villagomez is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Mexico City and Houston offices and is a member of the Global Energy group and Banking & Finance practice. Carmen’s experience includes advising international companies on various investment opportunities in Mexico and evaluating potential financial and tax consequences of such investments.
Carmen has assisted clients in assessing corporate and financial structures to evaluate whether such structures were efficient for legal, tax, and economic purposes in Mexico.
She has drafted opinions and memoranda addressing general regulatory, tax, and financial aspects of business structures implemented by multinational companies, as well as assessing corporate reorganizations. Carmen also provides M&A and corporate legal services for the oil and gas and mining sectors. She is fluent in English and Spanish (native).
