Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Carol practiced general and complex commercial and corporate litigation. Carol gained experience and practiced as a litigator involved in disputes with franchise manufacturers, proceedings commenced by consumers and labor and employment law primarily in the automotive and marine industry. In that capacity, she has acted as counsel in a number of transactional matters, some of which include the preparation of, and/or consultation related to, marine franchise dealer and distribution agreements.

Carol also represented clients involved in disputes related to estate and trusts, and business succession planning. In connection with this aspect of her practice, Carol has prepared a variety of estate planning and other business succession instruments including but not limited to Wills, trusts, ancillary instruments, stock redemption, cross-purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements and documents and the formation of various business entities.

Carol’s background also involved acting as counsel in probate and accounting matters, contested and uncontested, Will construction, and turnover proceedings, fiduciary removal, and disputes between fiduciaries and beneficiaries. After graduating from law school in the early years her practice areas included insurance defense, civil litigation, and proceedings under the Labor Law.

Carol received her Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law and an LL.M (Master of Law) in corporate taxation from New York University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in New York, with currently active pro hac vice admissions California, Connecticut and Florida. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
