Carol Dakin leads the firm’s management of employee benefits, focusing her practice on employee benefits matters and executive compensation. She is named in Who’s Who in American Law, recognized in Chambers USA and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2007.
Carol has counseled publicly held and closely held clients in all aspects of employee benefits law and executive compensation matters. She has extensive experience designing and drafting complex defined benefit and defined contribution plans, cash balance plans, supplemental executive retirement plans, incentive compensation plans and stock purchase plans.
She advises clients regarding expatriate benefits, prohibited transaction exemptions, Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) plan audits, Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS) programs and COBRA issues, as well as the benefits aspects of rabbi trusts, acquisitions and divestitures.
Carol chairs the Visiting Nurses Association’s (VNA) board of directors. She heads the Executive and CEO Search Committees, and is also a member of the Finance, Investment and HR Committees of the VNA.
