Caroline Liset Woolsey is a Special Counsel in the Finance and Bankruptcy Practice Group in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Woolsey represents national, local and regional banks and other institutional lenders in handling the documentation, due diligence and negotiation of real-estate secured loans for various types of properties including multi-family residential projects and commercial developments.
A significant portion of Ms. Woolsey’s experience is representing lenders in connection with tax-exempt bond financings of low-income housing projects and the financing of affordable housing through loans and credit enhancements. She also has represented lenders in negotiating complex real estate loan “workouts” and non-judicial foreclosures.
Since joining the firm, Ms. Woolsey has volunteered for the firm’s Violence Against Women’s Act program, and successfully represented a victim of domestic violence in obtaining immigration benefits. She has also participated in the firm’s adoption program assisting families in completing the adoption of children from the foster care system.
