
Carolyn J. Lachman is an attorney in King & Spalding’s FERC practice. Specializing in energy law, Carolyn primarily represents independent power producers, electric power marketers and others.
Carolyn has assisted clients with regulatory proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Department of Energy in connection with issues arising under federal energy regulatory laws, including the Federal Power Act, the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978, the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 2005 and the Natural Gas Act. She has also been extensively involved in audits and non-public investigations by FERC and other government agencies.
Carolyn received her law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2015, where she served as senior articles editor of the German Law Journal. During law school, Carolyn worked as a legal intern in the Office of Enforcement at FERC and in the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice.
