Carrie Hodge Bates is a shareholder in the Birmingham, Alabama office of Carr Allison. Carrie is a trial attorney specializing in complex matters involving healthcare, medical malpractice, professional liability, workers’ compensation and transportation litigation.
She has experience defending clients throughout all phases of litigation, including trying numerous workers’ compensation cases and working on post-appeal matters.
Carrie earned her Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (AL) where she was on the Dean’s list and a member of the Cumberland National Trial Team. She was also the regional winner and a quarter-finalist in the TYLA National Trial Competition.
Carrie served as an executive member of the Trial Advocacy Board and as the associate director of the James O. Haley Federal Trial Competitions. In the Spring of 2011, Carrie received the American Board of Trial Advocates Scholarship and became a member of The Order of Barristers.
Carrie graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama receiving her BA in Public Relations, Political Science and Geology. While there, she was a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, the University’s Communications Honor Society.
