Cassandra Gibson is a Killeen-based family law attorney dedicated to helping families move through the legal process with ease. She joined The Carlson Law Firm after practicing family law in McLennan County.
A seventh generation Texan, Cassandra was born and raised in Bell County. She set her sights on becoming an attorney when she was a child. Cassandra takes pride in helping families going through difficult times navigate the complexities of family law. She represents families in the state, district and county courts.
As a reasonable and realistic family law attorney, Cassandra considers all sides of an argument to deliver the best possible legal representation for her clients. In addition to helping families transition through divorce and custody arrangements, Cassandra helps families expand by assisting with adoption and gestational agreements.
She is a graduate of Texas Tech University Law School (2015) and earned her B.S. in Liberal Studies from Texas A&M Central Texas in 2010. Cassandra was admitted to the Texas State Bar in November 2015. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Bell County Bar Association and held the Secretary (2017-2018) position in the Bell County Young Lawyers Association. Cassandra is the 2018-2019 Vice President/President-Elect for the Bell County Young Lawyers Association.
Cassandra takes immense pride in finding creative and workable solutions to family issues for each of her clients. She understands that family life significantly impacts people’s daily lives. She believes that practicing family law is the best way for her to serve the community she adores.
Cassandra takes her time to know the details and facts of her cases. She works hard to help her clients understand the entire legal process and empowers them to make decisions. Additionally, she values and includes her clients’ input when building case strategies. She is always available to answer questions and explain the how’s and why’s so that her clients never feel in the dark about their cases.
Her commitment to practicing law comes from her desire to serve her community and help others. She is currently engaged to be married and has a 100-pound lap dog. Forever the DIY-er, Cassandra can lay tile, redo floors, hang drywall, design and build furniture. She enjoys lifting weights because it requires dedication, focus and determination—three components necessary for practicing law.
