
Catherine Breen focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense. With close to a decade’s experience handling workers’ compensation matters on the claimant side, Kate offers clients unique insights and brings extensive knowledge of the claims process in order to mount successful defenses.
Kate routinely appears before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board, handling each case from inception through completion, and she also has extensive experience taking medical and lay testimony, negotiating and drafting settlement agreements, and drafting summations and appeals.
Kate earned her J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she was the Student Bar Association Election Chairperson tasked with coordinating and overseeing the election process.
She also held two internships with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. There, she assisted the district attorneys in all trial matters, including preparing witnesses, writing motions, and preparing files.
