Chanda Brown advises clients on complex national security, defense, regulatory and government contract matters. Ms. Brown was recognized in 2018 by the Diversity in National Security Network as a Black American next generation leader in US national security and foreign policy.
During law school, Ms. Brown was a volunteer legal intern in the National Security Division of the US Department of Justice, where she worked with the Office of Law and Policy on matters of national security law, and a volunteer intern for the Anti-Terrorism and National Security Unit of the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
She was a summer associate at WilmerHale in 2017 and a judicial law intern to the Honorable Tanya Chutkan for the US District Court for the District of Columbia in 2016. Prior to law school, Ms. Brown worked for eight years in the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) of the US Department of Defense, where she focused on biosafety, biosecurity, biosurveillance and counterproliferation.
She joined DTRA as a presidential management fellow in the Nuclear Program Division and completed the Department of Defense Executive Leadership Development Program. Previously, she was a defense analyst consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton and interned with the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy.
