Charles J. Meyer is a shareholder in the domestic relations firm, Hofstein Weiner & Meyer, P.C. For more than 28 years, he has represented clients in all aspects of family law, including negotiations leading to prenuptial, postnuptial and co-habitation agreements, and the investigation and litigation of the financial and economic issues related to the dissolution of marriage, including child support, child custody, equitable distribution and alimony. His clients include high net worth individuals, professional athletes, entertainers, entrepreneurs, and their spouses.
A native of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, following law school at Temple University, Mr. Meyer served in the office of the District Attorney of New York County (Manhattan). Since leaving the district attorney’s office, Mr. Meyer has limited his practice to family law.
Recognized for his advocacy, Mr. Meyer has been described by his peers as creative and compassionate, and is known for being a strong advocate for his clients, and an aggressive trial lawyer when necessary.
A fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Mr. Meyer served as the President of the Pennsylvania Chapter in 2016. Presently, he is the Chair of the National Test Committee for the Academy. Mr. Meyer is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Mr. Meyer frequently lectures and authors articles on significant and cutting-edge domestic relations and related litigation issues, including as a course planner and moderator for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the American Bar Association, AFCC and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
With his wife, Sheryl, and their six children, Mr. Meyer resides in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania.
