Charles Roy Lipcon

Charles Roy Lipcon is our firm’s founding maritime lawyer and has been handling personal injury, cruise line sexual assault and wrongful death claims for more than 40 years. Mr. Lipcon has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1971 and has been operating his own law practice since 1972.

As president, Mr. Lipcon focuses on litigation strategy for the complex maritime legal matters in which the firm is engaged. While his team of maritime lawyers focuses primarily on admiralty, maritime and personal injury litigation against cruise ship lines.

Mr. Lipcon also has significant experience prosecuting and settling legal matters related to aviation disasters, automobile accidents, commercial torts and class action lawsuits. He is frequently consulted for his expertise as a sexual assault attorney and is regarded as a valuable resource for victims who have been raped or injured on a cruise ship.

Mr. Lipcon graduated from the University of Miami in 1968. He is a National Merit Scholar. He received his juris doctorate degree in 1971 and is also a graduate alumnus of his undergraduate alma mater, the University of Miami.

Charles R. Lipcon is one of the most experienced maritime lawyers in the State of Florida. He is admitted to practice in various areas and hierarchy of courts.

He has received a bar admission in all state and federal courts in the State of Florida; the Supreme Court of the United States; the United States Court of Federal Claims; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit; the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas; and, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
