Charles T. Ballard has served the people, businesses, and organizations of Fayette County for over 50 years. A Fayette County native, Charles earned his law degree from the University of Georgia. While at UGA, Charles became the school’s Campus Leader. In 1961, Charles returned to his hometown to practice law after serving as judge advocate at Fort Benning’s Center Troop Command.
At different points in his long and distinguished legal career, Charles has represented the Town of Woolsey, the City of Riverdale, the Town of Tyrone, the City of Morrow, the Town of Brooks, the Fayette County Board of Education, and the Fayette County Board of Commissioners, and thousands of citizens and businesses.
Charles and his wife Jeanette have been married 60 years and have four children and eight grandchildren. Charles is a founding member of Fayette County Civitan and the Fayette County Bar Association. He is also a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
