
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Charles Kocher was trained as an intern in the Dickinson Wright PLLC Intellectual Property Academy. He also worked in the automotive industry and gained significant professional experience with Chrysler Group LLC in audio and telematics, powertrain electronics, and active chassis control systems.
As a product engineer for Chrysler, Mr. Kocher led component development of the audio amplifier for the Ram pickup and other vehicle lines and facilitated reactive quality improvements for amplifiers. Mr. Kocher also successfully launched an electronically controlled coupling (ECC) controller and assisted with the product release of a tire pressure monitoring system for multiple vehicle platforms.
Mr. Kocher completed the two-year Chrysler Institute of Engineering (CIE) program gaining experience in vehicle information systems, telematics, powertrain electronics, as well as experience at the Sterling Heights Assembly plant and Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) lab.
