Chelsea B. Reckell is an associate in Venable’s eCommerce, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Practice in the Washington, DC office. Prior to joining Venable, Chelsea served as a law clerk to Judge Claude M. Hilton of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She also served as a legal intern in the Counterterrorism Unit of the National Security Division for the Department of Justice.
Chelsea worked as a legal intern in the Privacy and Identity Protection Division of the Federal Trade Commission, where she investigated, analyzed, and made recommendations to agency leadership on company practices and products that produced fraudulent and deceptive cyber security and data security practices.
During law school, Chelsea served as a criminal and national security law clerk in the Office of the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she engaged in substantive policy writings involving issues, such as electronic communications, privacy, national security, human trafficking, and cyber security.
