Chelsey B. Metcalf is a litigation associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. Ms. Metcalf has served Foley’s clients in a wide array of complex commercial litigation matters, including U.C.C. contract claims, shareholder disputes, products liability actions, and noncompete agreement enforcement.
Ms. Metcalf also serves Foley’s clients in distribution and franchise matters by counseling clients on distributor termination and disengagement.
As a law student, Ms. Metcalf gained experience as a summer associate at Foley, where she worked on academic, statutory, and case law research and writing projects. At the University of Wisconsin Law School, she served as a project assistant to two professors.
Ms. Metcalf was also a student attorney at the Frank J. Remington Center in Madison, where she represented two clients appealing their convictions. Additionally, Ms. Metcalf served as a student extern for the Civil Litigation Unit of the Wisconsin Department of Justice and as a volunteer clerk for the Green County Circuit Court in Monroe, Wisconsin.
Ms. Metcalf earned her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D., 2015), where she was vice president of professional development and outreach for the Women’s Law Student Association, as well as the vice president of outreach for the Mock Trial Team. She graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A., 2012) in honors English with a German certificate.
Ms. Metcalf is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.
