Cheryl Ellen Slater

Cheryl Ellen Slater specializes in matrimonial and family law. She guides clients through different aspects of family law such as negotiating prenuptial agreements, custody and support proceedings, divorce, and the resolution of post-divorce matters.

Attorney Slater also looks after matters arising out of family law procedures like real estate, probate and administration proceedings, wills, powers of attorney, and health care proxies.

She represents clients in the Supreme Court, the Family Courts of Westchester, Putnam, and Rockland Counties, and the five boroughs of New York City.

Cheryl E. Slater has the experience of practicing family law for more than ten years. She understands that family law matters leading people to court are life-changing. She is aware of the practical and emotional implications of settlement negotiations and litigation.

Attorney Cheryl Slater has acquired membership of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and Westchester County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Yonkers Lawyers Association.

She completed BA in History and Political Science in 1996 from the University of California in Santa Barbara. She obtained JD Cum Laude from Pace University School of Law in 2004.

She secured the license to practice law in Connecticut and New York in 2004 and 2005 respectively. She has attained skills in Domestic Relations, Trial Practice, Family Law, and Dispute Resolution.
