Cheyna Rivka Volkov has joined Weitz & Luxenberg’s specially designated Product Identification (PID) team within our Mesothelioma and Asbestos Practice litigation unit. She has proven herself a dedicated and tenacious attorney.
For more than three decades, Weitz & Luxenberg has been working on behalf of clients who have been grievously injured by the actions of large corporations. Weitz & Luxenberg has been seeking justice on behalf of victims of asbestos exposure since it was founded.
“The goal is to put together and connect all the facts, which involves a lot of research and investigation. We want to identify every instance of asbestos exposure in our client’s history in the most complete and comprehensive way possible,” Ms. Volkov explains.
Her work with asbestos litigation began during her time in law school. While attending the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, she served as an intern at the Supreme Court, Civil Branch, Appellate Term 1st Department.
While there, she became familiar with asbestos exposure and the debilitating and degenerative diseases it causes — lung cancer and mesothelioma. She conducted legal research on asbestos, observed mid-trial asbestos settlements, and attended conferences held between plaintiffs and defendants.
