Chris M. McDonald represents financial institutions and auto finance companies in individual and multi-party litigation throughout the country. His practice focuses on claims related to consumer lending, creditor’s rights, debt collection, unfair business practices, and contract disputes.
Chris counsels and advocates for his clients in all phases of state and federal court litigation, including responding to pleadings, written discovery, depositions, dispositive motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trial.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Chris developed a practice focused on a variety of civil litigation matters, including real estate and land use, construction, and product liability.
While at Santa Clara University School of Law, Chris was a member of the Law Review, a finalist in a national moot court competition in New York, and a clerk for a Santa Clara County Superior Court judge.
