Chris Sprowls focuses his practice on litigation. Chris joined Buchanan from the State Attorney’s Office for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit, where he spent seven years as an Assistant State Attorney. Chris was assigned to the Special Prosecution Unit where he focused on gang and homicide crime, taking an active role in identifying gangs and dismantling their criminal networks.
During his time as a prosecutor, Chris tried dozens of jury trials, many involving first degree murder. Among Chris’ most notable trial victories was the conviction of an individual who drove her car into a front yard striking three triplet little girls as well as the conviction of William Hurst for the 1982 murder of his wife.
Chris also served as Director of the Veterans Treatment Court for Pinellas and Pasco counties and oversaw both the agency’s offices in Pasco County. On November 4, 2014, Chris was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 65th District and continues to serve in that capacity.
