Christie Baty Hudgins focuses on trademark clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, client counseling, and oppositions and cancellation actions before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Christie represents a diverse range of large and small clients in the education, sporting goods, automotive, food and beverage, financial services, consumer products, Internet services, medical device, software and electronics, pharmaceutical, and consulting fields. She has extensive experience in managing large domestic and international trademark portfolios.
She has been active in Internet-related trademark disputes, including a number of federal court lawsuits and foreign litigations involving both generic top-level domain (gTLD) names and country-code top-level domain names.
Christie has extensive experience in managing worldwide trademark portfolios of large companies, including Yahoo! and Caterpillar Inc. She has handled or managed U.S. and international domain name litigation and Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings on behalf of Yahoo! and other Internet companies.
She has been recognized by World IP Review as a WIPR Leader for trademarks in the United States, and by The Legal 500 U.S. as a leader in the management of large global portfolios, and with deep experience in searches.
