Christina Edwards focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance counseling and other commercial transactions; entity formations; and raising capital. Christina has assisted clients on numerous multimillion-dollar mergers and acquisitions and asset purchases involving public and private companies and strategic, private equity buyers and sellers.
She represents clients in deals across a wide range of industries, including banking & financial services, transportation, petroleum distribution and marketing, insurance and insurance brokerages and software & technology. Christina also has experience representing clients in transactions involving accounts receivable financing.
She is the immediate past chair and current member of the Board of Young Professionals of Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN), a local nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse and neglect in the Greater Richmond area. Christina was also a member of ChamberRVA’s MENTOR Richmond Class of 2018.
Before joining Williams Mullen, Christina was a summer law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Virginia (Alexandria Division), where she did extensive research and prepared legal memoranda for Assistant United States Attorneys. She also interned at the Virginia Tech Foundation, researching corporate law ventures for the foundation.
Christina earned her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law, magna cum laude, where she served as president of the Moot Court Board and intrascholastic chair of the Client Counseling and Negotiations Board. She also served as lead articles editor for the Richmond Journal of Law and the Public Interest. She earned her B.A. in political science from Virginia Tech.
