Christine Troy has more than fifteen years of experience, practicing exclusively in the area of Immigration and Naturalization Law.
Ms Troy is an active California State Bar member. She is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court and the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms Troy is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the San Francisco Women’s Business Immigration Group.
This honor is given to under 5% of attorneys in Northern California. At the request of the White House Office of Science and Technology, Ms Troy and a team of Bay Area immigration attorneys developed solutions to facilitating visa issuance for foreign entrepreneurs and investors.
Ms Troy has appeared on KQED to discuss problems that US citizens face at specific US consulates abroad when trying to sponsor their foreign spouses. She has also been interviewed for the Wall Street Journal Digital Network on the impact of current DHS adjudications on H-1B visa petitions.
Ms Troy received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She was a member of the Women’s Law Journal, volunteered at the General Assistance Advocacy Project and completed the Hastings Civil Justice Clinic program. Ms Troy received her Bachelor’s degree in government and minor in women’s studies at Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin in 1992, graduating cum laude.
