Christopher DeGrande’s practice focuses on healthcare law, particularly transactional, regulatory, and corporate matters including Anti-Kickback and Stark issues, corporate practice of medicine prohibitions, transactional structuring and drafting, and due diligence. Chris’s clients include hospitals, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, and dialysis centers, among others.
Before joining the firm, Chris worked as an extern for the Presence Health General Counsel and also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert Senechalle Jr. in the Chancery division of the State of Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County. Before attending law school, Chris worked at Cerner Corporation as a senior analyst, assisting clients to upgrade and implement Electronic Health Record systems.
As a student at the University of Illinois College of Law, Chris was the president and founder of the Health and Elder Law Society, and earned CALI Awards for the highest grade in Health Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Torts, Real Estate Development, and Laws of War classes.
Chris earned his undergraduate degree from Creighton University, where he participated in the university Honors Program and the Bioscience Entrepreneurship Program, which helped to aid inventors in the biological sciences with the marketing of their products.
