
Christopher D. Fidler practices primarily in the areas of estate planning and administration. His services include preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advance directives for basic planning engagements, but his practice emphasizes advanced planning for high-net-worth individuals and families who are the owners of closely held businesses and a broad range of financial resources.
Chris has experience representing the executors in the administration of complex estates involving significant questions of federal gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax determinations, as well as multistate estate tax considerations. His experience in this area also includes federal and state income tax planning and compliance for individuals, estates, trusts and entities.
He has experience representing trustees across a broad range of administrative matters, including tax planning, tax compliance, discharge and delegation of fiduciary duties, construction and modification of instruments, proceedings for court instruction, private settlement agreements under the Uniform Trust Code, and matters of fiduciary accounting under the Uniform Principal and Income Act.
He also represents a number of exempt organizations, including charitable trusts, public charities and private foundations. Chris also holds a nonpracticing (inactive) license as an Ohio Certified Public Accountant.
