Christopher Huebner

Christopher F. Huebner  is a registered patent agent who focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the chemistry and life sciences fields, particularly in the areas of nanotechnology, physics, polymer science, graphics, materials science, and optics. Previously, Chris worked with the firm as a patent scientist.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris was involved in academic research in materials science. He worked as a member of Clemson University’s Research Faculty developing a laboratory for printed functional materials research. Chris was appointed to a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Georgia Institute of Technology to develop materials for energy storage applications. His doctoral work focused on semi-conductive polymer and organic materials for illumination applications.

While working as Lead Scientist at Streamline Nanotechnologies Incorporated in Atlanta, Georgia, Chris was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to support his SBIR Phase I: 1046948 research project to expand the production lines for supercapacitor materials. He was also awarded an American Society for Engineering Education/National Science Foundation Corporate Postdoctoral Fellowship to carry out the company’s pilot plant development. In 2008, Chris was recipient of the American Chemical Society POLY Division “Excellence in Graduate Polymer Research” Award.

Chris is co-inventor of U.S. Patent 8,003,008 (Clemson University) relating to color-tailored polymer light emitting diodes including emissive colloidal particles and method of forming same.
