Christopher Smith is a trial attorney that focuses his practice on complex litigation and resolving potential litigation issues that arise in transactional matters. Chris has represented multinational companies, financial institutions and their employees, and individuals in federal and state court throughout Florida and New York, and in investigations, examinations, and litigation before a host of governmental agencies.
His previous experience includes multimillion lease agreement and contract litigation, adversary proceedings in bankruptcy and probate court, consumer-based class action defense, and various other commercial litigation.
Additionally, Chris is active in pro bono work, previously representing a Florida inmate at trial in a 1983 Civil Rights action in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida and also serving on the Court Appointed Special Advocates-New York City (CASA-NYC) Executive Committee of the Junior Board of Directors from 2012-2014. Prior to entering private practice, Chris worked at the New York City Justice Center, Legal Clinic for the Homeless.
Chris received a joint law degree and M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Emory University. He attended Duke University receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
