Christopher R. Barrus has been an associate attorney for Robert J. DeBry & Associates since early 2013. During his time at the firm he has shown an unparalleled commitment to his clients. It is from getting to know and understand a client’s accident that Chris has gained the valuable insight on how to best help each person.
Before attending law school he studied at the University of Utah, graduating with a degree in biomedical engineering, a rigorous program where he studied the application of engineering concepts applied to medicine and biology. While studying his undergraduate degree, Chris published in “The University of Utah Undergraduate Research Abstracts”.
With this unique background in medical engineering, Chris pursued a law degree from Gonzaga University graduating in 2011 with a Juris Doctorate degree. While attending Gonzaga, Chris was involved in Moot Court, an extracurricular activity where students are able to participate in simulated court proceedings and oral arguments.
Chris joined the Moot Court Honors Council and competed nationally in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court competition, arguing in San Francisco and Washington D.C., where he finished second nationally.
Christopher also received the Technology Law Scholarship and served as President of the Gonzaga Intellectual Property Law Association.
