Christopher R. Huffaker is a senior associate in the Financial Services & Products Group and a member of the firm’s Payment Systems team. He focuses his practice on advising payment card networks, financial institutions, merchants and processors on a wide range of transactional and regulatory matters.
Chris regularly assists clients in negotiating complex agreements, including card-acceptance agreements, card-issuing agreements, processing agreements, service agreements, and strategic-alliance agreements. He also has extensive experience advising online marketplaces and other payment system participants on regulatory requirements related to the transmission of money.
Prior to joining the firm, Chris served as legislative director for a leading member of the U.S. House of Representatives. In this role, Chris counseled the congressman on a broad range of issues, including financial services matters.
