Christopher Thomas Smith received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago (B.S., Physics, 2000.) He received his law degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law (J.D., 2011).
During law school he completed a judicial internship for the Hon. Judge Ronald Prager at the San Diego Superior Court. Prior to becoming an attorney he worked in the automobile industry for six years, which gives him unique knowledge of the industry and its practices.
Mr. Smith has provided training to the legal corps for both the U.S. Navy and Marines. Mr. Smith has presented at the Marine Corps Installations West Legal Assistance Conference, a three-day conference attended by attorneys from every Marine Corps base in California.
In May of 2013, Mr. Smith, in association with the National Association of Consumer Advocates, presented “Military Servicemembers and Auto Fraud – How to be Successful Advocating for Those Who Serve Our Country” to a national audience.
Mr. Smith is a member of the State Bar of California, has been active in the San Diego County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, the Consumer Attorneys of California, and the National Association of Consumer Advocates, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern, Southern and Central Districts of California.
