Cindy Marie Perusse has practiced family law my entire 25-year career as a litigator and a mediator. I began working as judicial law clerk, then as an associate in a couple firms before I decided to start my own practice.
I am licensed in Minnesota, California and Colorado. After spending time in courts in 3 states, nothing surprises me anymore. I enjoy being an advocate for my clients and guiding them successfully through the legal process be it a divorce, child custody, spousal maintenance or property matters.
I received my Bachelors degree from UCLA, and my law degree from Hamline University School of Law (now Mitchell-Hamline School of Law). I attended advanced training in litigation skills through the ABA Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute held at the Sturm College of Law in Denver.
On the dispute resolution side of my work, I have 40-hours of training in family law mediation through the nationally ranked Hamline University Mediation Center. I also have formal training in Early Neutral Evaluations through the Minnesota Judicial Branch.
I have served on my law school alumni board and as President of the board of Simply ArtAble, a non-profit art studio for people with disabilities in Minneapolis. I volunteer for Colorado Lawyers for Colorado Veterans and Metro Volunteer Lawyers at their courthouse family law legal clinics each month.
I participate regularly in the family law and solo/small law firm section events of the bar association. I am also a member of W.O.L.F.(Women Owned Law Firms), a group of fantastic women lawyers from the Denver metro area.
