Claire M. Hillman’s practice is focused on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. She handles all phases of pretrial and trial work, including discovery, drafting motions, providing legal analyses, preparing cases for settlement and managing large case dockets.

She also has handled matters involving administrative remedies, the validity of electronic signatures in foreign jurisdictions and the effect of the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure on legal holds.

During law school, Claire served as a judicial law clerk for the Third Judicial District Court in Topeka, did an externship with the Midwest Innocence Project and was an intern with the Domestic Violence Unit of the Johnson County, Kansas, District Attorney’s Office.

Before becoming an attorney, Claire was a social worker for the Kansas Department of Children and Families; her professional experience and training helps her connect with people and gives her additional insight into problems or obstacles.
