Clare Staub joined the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice of Haynes and Boone in 2013. She has counseled clients on a variety of legal matters pertaining to health and welfare, retirement, and executive compensation plans, drawing on her consulting and in-house benefits department experience to provide meaningful advice.
Prior to joining Haynes and Boone, Clare worked for an international mining company, where she assisted in managing all of the company’s pension and benefit plans maintained in the United States and Canada.
This experience gave Clare a unique perspective on the issues that arise in operating benefit plans for a large employer, including those related to international mobility, collective bargaining agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate initiatives.
Before joining the international mining company, Clare worked as a retirement consultant for a major human resources consulting firm, where she assisted clients with retirement plan compliance, design, and administration.
Clare is a frequent contributor to Haynes and Boone’s Practical Benefits Lawyer blog, which discusses issues and developments in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation.
