Claude Carter concentrates his practice in estate planning and administration, real estate, and business law. Prior to joining Woods Rogers, he was a partner at Carter & Osborne P.C. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America.
After 45 years of service as an attorney, Claude returned to school and earned a Master of Arts, cum laude, from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006. The following year, he earned a Master of Divinity degree, also cum laude, from Liberty. Today, he is an ordained Baptist minister.
Claude was an accountant for General Electric and served in the United States Army Artillery.
Claude’s extensive community service includes serving as chairman of the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors and on the boards of the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission, the Fifth Planning District Commission, the League of Older Americans (Local Office on Aging), and Total Action for Progress. He remains active in the Roanoke Elks Lodge, Melrose Masonic Lodge, and Kazim-Shriners.
