Conrad V. Sison is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Locke Lord LLP. Conrad’s practice focuses on a wide variety of complex civil litigation matters, including business torts, commercial contract disputes, unfair competition claims, class actions, insurance coverage, franchise litigation and consumer finance.
He is actively involved in all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, including pre-litigation counseling, pre-trial law and motion matters, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, and trial. Conrad also has extensive appellate experience, having briefed and argued appeals at the state and federal level.
As part of his litigation practice, Conrad represents major banks, mortgage loan servicers and investors against claims of breach of contract, wrongful foreclosure, and violations of the California Homeowners’ Bill of Rights (HBOR), Truth In Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Conrad also assists clients in developing risk management strategies to ensure compliance with these statutes and their implementing regulations.
In addition, Conrad has particular knowledge counseling state insurance guaranty funds in the discharge of their statutory obligations, and represents such funds in insolvency proceedings, lawsuits by policyholders and third-party claimants, and in the prosecution of declaratory relief actions.
Conrad has served as a clerk at the Office of Chief Trial Counsel, State Bar of California, and an extern for the Hon. Maxine M. Chesney, United States District Court, Northern District of California.
