Craig L. Manchik was born in Chicago and grew up in Highland Park, Illinois. He attended the University of Kansas, where he graduated with Honors with a degree in Business Administration. Craig was a member of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity and was awarded the coveted Sobal Cup for excellence in academics.
Craig attended Michigan State University College of Law where he graduated Cum Laude. He was a member of the Student Senate, and was elected Vice President of the Senate during his third year of law school. He had previously held elected positions including Treasurer and Secretary of the Senate.
Amicus, the alumni magazine for Michigan State University College of Law, recently featured Craig in an article titled “The Lawyers Who Win”. The article highlights Craig’s success as a trial attorney and his commitment to his clients. Craig has been in private practice since 1994 and has tried many Jury Trials to verdict. Four notable cases were as follows:
$3.75 Million dollar settlement, after one week on trial, in medical malpractice case;$2.7 Million dollar verdict in medical malpractice case involving failure to deliver a baby timely; and$1.7 Million dollar settlement in construction negligence case$1.2 Million dollar verdict after five weeks in front of a jury on trial in willful and wanton case versus the Village of Skokie and two of its police officers.
