
Crystal Bultje has extensive experience in the areas of labor law, municipal law, and litigation. She represents clients on a broad range of matters in both the private and public sector, and she provides clients with practical and effective counsel.
Crystal’s municipal experience includes work relating to the Metropolitan Extension Telecommunications Rights-of-Way Oversight Act and telecommunications issues, Open Meetings Act compliance, Freedom of Information Act requests and compliance, land use matters, contract negotiations, and ordinance drafting and enforcement. She has also successfully defended municipalities against a variety of constitutional challenges in Circuit Court, the Michigan Court of Appeals, and the Michigan Supreme Court.
Crystal has also represented clients in both the private and public sector in a variety of traditional labor matters. She has advised employers on matters including employee handbooks and policies, discrimination and harassment, wage and overtime, and disability issues. She also has experience drafting non-compete and separation agreements, and she has assisted in the representation of clients in collective bargaining negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, and unemployment hearings.
