Dallin R. Wilson

Mr. Dallin Wilson is a commercial litigation associate in Seyfarth Shaw’s Boston office. His practice focuses primarily on trade secret and non-compete litigation, securities and financial litigation, franchise and distribution litigation, and real estate litigation.

Mr. Wilson’s trade secret practice includes representing some of the world’s largest insurance, staffing, technology, and manufacturing companies nationwide. He regularly counsels clients on the enforceability of restrictive covenant agreements and, when necessary, prosecutes claims in state and federal courts against former employees accused of misappropriating trade secrets and violating contractual obligations.

Mr. Wilson also has an active securities and financial litigation practice. He represents national banks, broker-dealers, and credit unions in litigation against consumers in state and federal court, as well as in FINRA arbitrations. Mr. Wilson spends substantial time on pro bono matters. He is pro bono counsel to Massachusetts’ largest dog rescue and adoption agency and has also assisted a local interfaith charity achieve its 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.

Mr. Wilson recently second-chaired a 39-day FINRA arbitration in San Diego, where he helped achieve a complete defense verdict for a broker-dealer against claims brought by a former customer seeking over $68 million in investment losses. Mr. Wilson also represents financial services companies in investigations by state and federal regulators.

Mr. Wilson also has experience representing franchisors, manufacturers, and distributors in litigation concerning franchising systems and distribution networks. He has represented various automotive manufacturers in disputes with dealers in cases involving dealership terminations, relocations, add points, and rights of first refusal.

Mr. Wilson has also been a volunteer attorney for the past few years with Discovering Justice, where he has taught Boston-area students about how constitutional protections apply in public schools.  At the end of each 11-week program, the students argue their cases in the federal court in Boston before actual judges and experienced attorneys.

During law school, Mr. Wilson was a judicial intern for Federal Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler and provided pro bono legal services to indigent clients through Northeastern University’s Poverty Law Clinic. As an undergraduate, Mr. Wilson was captain of the basketball team and was a two-time first-team all-conference selection.
