Ms. Dana M. Shelton concentrates her practice in energy matters, public utility regulation, environmental law and commercial litigation. She handles cases involving wholesale and retail electric utility rates, power contract disputes, energy market rules and various commercial matters.
Ms. Shelton regularly represents the Louisiana Public Service Commission before state and federal courts and federal agencies, as well as matters pending before the Commission. She joined Stone Pigman in 1997.

Professional and Civic Activities
Ms. Shelton is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Public Utility Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Energy Bar Association, and the bar of the United States Supreme Court.
She is Vice President of the New Orleans Chapter of the Energy Bar Association and Past Chair of the Public Utilities Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association. She also is a Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation.
For five years, Ms. Shelton served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Tulane University Law School, where she taught a course in Energy Law and Policy. She has also been a guest lecturer on the topic of Public Utility Regulation and Evidence Law at Tulane and Louisiana State University Law Schools.
Ms. Shelton served on an Energy Policy Task Force for the City of New Orleans. She was law clerk to the Honorable Jack C. Watson and the Honorable Walter F. Marcus Jr., both of the Louisiana Supreme Court, 1996-97.
