Ms. Dana Peterson is a partner in the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. She is an experienced litigator and powerful advocate with a state-wide practice that enables her to provide exceptional client service in multiple jurisdictions. In addition to litigating single and multi-plaintiff cases in both state and federal courts throughout California, Ms. Peterson is an active member of the Firm’s California Workplace Solutions Group.
In that capacity, she provides advice, counseling and training on every conceivable aspect of California employment law and has extensive expertise on conducting workplace investigations and customized audits to ensure legal compliance.
In her nineteen years of practice, she has successfully represented employers against claims of wrongful termination, breach of contract, invasion of privacy, sexual harassment, discrimination and harassment claims based on race, religion, pregnancy, gender, age, national origin and disability, alleged violations of state and federal leave laws, claims for failure to accommodate and failure to engage in the interactive process, fraud, and alleged Labor Code violations.
Ms. Peterson has represented clients at well over 100 mediations, and is skilled at negotiating favorable settlements and creatively resolving disputes. However, she also has successful trial and arbitration experience, and has obtained results ranging from early dismissal to defense judgment.
