Danae Tinelli is a staff attorney in the Trademark, Copyrights and Licensing Practice in the Washington, DC office. During law school, Danae was a law clerk with Copyright Counselors LLC, where she conducted research on various trademark, copyright, and patent defense claims matters; drafted complaints for copyright and trademark infringement; sent Digital Millennium Copyright Act takedown notices to various social media channels for infringement; and drafted privacy policies and terms and conditions to protect online content.
She served as a legal intern with the Recording Industry Association of America, where she advocated for legislative music licensing reform by researching and drafting memos relating to the enforcement of IP rights owned by U.S. record labels.
Danae also served as a legal intern with the National Music Publishers’ Association, where she attended hearings related to copyright on Capitol Hill and monitored social media channels for unlicensed materials, and she served as a legal intern for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Where she identified and addressed illegal uses of the UFC’s owned assets, gathered evidence for trademark applications and oppositions, and reviewed and prepared copyright applications.
