Dani Liblang became fascinated with the legal profession while observing and assisting her father, esteemed local attorney, Stanley Kurzman. Dani’s undergraduate work included an Associate of Arts Degree, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Oakland University, graduating with honors.
It was in these formative years that Dani developed her appreciation for comforting the injured and fighting for the average Joe consumer. In college Dani purchased a Pontiac Astre “lemon” and developed an appreciation for how consumers can suffer economic stress when they purchase defective products.
It was the Astre that honed Dani’s interest in “lemon law.” In 1981, Dani graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law Cum Laude. Thereafter, she launched her legal career and early on broke the glass ceiling by successfully competing in a male dominated litigation world. In 1987 Dani Liblang established Dani K. Liblang, P.C. wherein the firm specialized in lemon and consumer law.
For the past 30 years, Dani has been fighting the good fight and has developed a nationwide reputation as being one of the leading lemon and consumer law attorneys in Michigan and the United States. These cases continue to provide a bed rock of legal support for consumers fighting large corporations who place poor products into the stream of commerce.
Dani was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1982, and has also been admitted to the Michigan Supreme Court, all federal courts in Michigan, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Dani has served as the Chair, Chair-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and Council Member for the State Bar of Michigan’s Consumer Law Section and, in 2002 was awarded the National Association of Consumer Advocate’s “Consumer Hero Award.”
In addition to being a frequent seminar presenter for the National Consumer Law Center, the National Associate of Consumer Advocates, and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education, Dani is a frequent guest on radio and television shows. Her cases have also been featured on WDIV TV, and in the Detroit Free Press, Jalopnik and the Huffington Post.
