Daniel Antalics

Daniel E. Antalics is an associate in the Antitrust/Competition group in Weil’s New York office. His practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, as well as government investigations and private litigation.

Mr. Antalics has worked with clients across a broad range of industries. He was a member of the Weil antitrust teams that represented Forest Laboratories, Inc. in its approximately $25 billion acquisition by Actavis plc; Health Management Associates, Inc. in connection with its sale of the company to Community Health Systems for approximately $7.6 billion; and Nemak, a subsidiary of Alfa SAB de CV, the largest industrial conglomerate in Mexico, in its acquisition of J.L. French Automotive Castings, Inc.

Mr. Antalics was also a member of the Weil antitrust teams that represented Providence Equity Partners in a private antitrust class action asserting conspiracy claims against Providence and other private equity firms, and Hilton Worldwide, Inc. in an antitrust class action challenging alleged agreements between online travel companies and hotels regarding the retail prices for online hotel room reservations. Weil secured dismissals for both clients.

Mr. Antalics received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs, the Pacific Basin Law Journal, and the International Justice Clinic. He received his A.B. in history, with honors, from Princeton University. Mr. Antalics is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law.

Mr. Antalics does pro bono work on behalf of Kids in Need of Defense and the Veterans Assistance Project. He also serves as a co-coordinator at Weil for the Generous Associates Campaign in benefit of Legal Aid of DC.
